The Cotton LEADS™ program is committed to five core principles that are consistent with sustainability, the use of best practices and traceability in the supply chain. This joint program initiated by the Australian cotton industry and the United States cotton industry (as a project of the Cotton Foundation) offers manufacturers, brands and retailers a reliable and responsible cotton supply chain solution. Cotton producers and industry organizations in Australia and the United States pioneered the investments, practices and national infrastructures necessary to put cotton production practices on paths to continual improvement.
Cotton Australia is the peak body for Australia’s cotton growing industry, supporting over 1500 cotton farming families in NSW and Queensland. We foster a world class agricultural industry that’s sustainable, valued for its economic and social contributions and produce a top quality product in demand around the globe.
The Cotton Foundation’s overall mission is to strengthen U.S. cotton’s position in the highly competitive fiber market. The Cotton Foundation gives U.S. cotton’s agribusiness allies opportunities to support the U.S. cotton industry by supporting general research and education projects.
