Steve Wilbur – Tulare, CA

U.S. cotton grower, Steve Wilbur talks about how cotton’s carbon footprint is shrinking as we improve the methods that we use to grow cotton.  Most recently, the California drought has caused growers to be even more thoughtful about water usage.  In the last ten years, he adopted subsurface drip irrigation technology to micromanage the water use in cotton.  In addition, Steve notes that seed varieties help to maintain productivity, farm more efficiently and gain superior fiber quality.
