Global Herbicide Resistance Challenge

The 2nd Global Herbicide Resistance Challenge will be held May 14-18, 2017 in Denver, Colorado, USA.
The Scientific Program Committee has developed a program that will bring together academic and industry weed researchers, land managers, policy makers, and communication experts. The program includes invited speakers in plant molecular genetics, non-chemical weed management, communications, socio-economics, as well as experts from insecticide, fungicide, and antibiotic resistance for an inter-disciplinary program.
The Research Methods Workshop (Sunday, May 14; 1-5 pm) will cover basic methods for conducting herbicide resistance research. The target audience is graduate students and researchers new to the field. We will cap attendance at 35 people. This workshop is not included in the GHRC registration, please register separately.
The Global Initiative for Harvest Weed Seed Control (HWSC) Symposium (Thursday, May 18; 1-5 pm) is a coordinated approach to establishing the potential, evaluating the technologies, and implementing the practices needed for HWSC in cropping systems. This symposium is not included in the GHRC registration, please register separately.
The Global Herbicide Resistance Challenge 2017 expects to attract scientists and professionals in research, education, government, and industry for four days of oral paper and poster presentations and networking on key herbicide resistance issues spanning the spectrum from genomics to management. There will be four interactive workshops on Tuesday, May 16.
