Cotton LEADS™ Partners Meet in Lima and Mexico City

More than 50 Cotton LEADS™ partners met in Mexico City and Lima to hear updates about the program. Partners engaged with staff from Cotton Council International and Cotton Incorporated, two of the founding organizations of the Cotton LEAD™ program.

At the meetings, partners discussed the recently released long-term sustainability goals for U.S. cotton, the recent global findings from the Life Cycle Analysis for Cotton, and received updates on activities occurring with partners including the use of the logo on promotional hangtags.

Dr. Kater Hake shared with attendees a presentation that looked at the long-term improvements and challenges to cotton in the years ahead, including genetic improvements and farm-level technology such as robotics.
